WORK STARTS ON NEW SPORTS CENTRE IN COLLINGWOOD
Students at Collingwood College are a step closer to getting new state-of-the-art sports facilities thanks to the Andrews Labor Government, with construction on a new sports stadium now underway.
Member for Richmond Richard Wynne today turned the sod on the $8.3 million project to upgrade and deliver a new local sports stadium in Collingwood.
Students will soon enjoy sports and recreation in a multi-purpose indoor sports centre featuring three competition grade courts, to be completed in mid-2019.
The redevelopment will provide additional indoor space for physical education classes, sport, assemblies and other school-related activities.
Collingwood Basketball Association will also have access to the courts on weekday evenings and weekends.

The Centre has been designed by Smith & Tracey Architects, and will be built by Hutchinson Builders.
